More from the End The War Rally at Pontiac Central

Almost 600 people packed the auditorium at Pontiac Cental High School on August 28 to send a message to Joe Knollenberg that when he goes back to Congres in September, he should listen to his constituents and not George Bush and support the troops and bring them home to their families and loved ones.

Joe NOllenberg made an appearance and was serenaded by the Raging Grannies.

There were lots of impeachment signs visible. Hold George W. Bush and Dick Cheney accountable for their crimes against humanity.

Bruce,

My count estimate was 200 and even if I was generous or badly mistaken in my count, topping off at 300 people. You had no one (except a small number of operatives) in the back deck or on the top, and the front rows were intermittently (open every third chair) full but not filled chair to chair. Under either scenario, you were gunning for 2000 though.

Chet, how many people would show up to a pro-war rally?
