Major Legislation Sponsors: Knollenberg's Name is Nowhere To Be Found

I was researching more campaign financing information on Joe Knollenberg when I stumbled across a page that encourages you to check and see what major pieces of legislation your Congressman has sponsored or co-sponsored.

I clicked to see what major legislation Joe had sponsored or co-sponsored -- and there wasn't any!! (Click on the image to the right to view a larger image of the page.)

Sad, but true.

Why does he make over $160,000 in taxpayer's money if he doesn't do anything?

Knollenberg voted for the bipartisan bill to repeal billions of oil subsidies and redirect the funding into alternative fuel research. You are as dishonest as you are liberal. Shame on you!

What did you do with the money your parents gave you for reading lessons? Spend it on grape kool-aid?

I didn't say how he voted on oil subsidies -- the article notes that he hasn't SPONSORED OR COSPONSORED any major legislation. And if that isn't correct, then you should contact www.congress.org because that is the website that made that statement.

Oh, and by the way -- Knollenberg voted YES on tax breaks and subsidies to big oil companies in the 109 th Congress when he voted in support of Bush' phony energy policy bill.

Does that mean Joe was for tax breaks and subsidies for oil companies before he was against them?

By the way, I volunteer at a program helping teach illiterate adults how to read.

I'd be happy to help you. I have students who have a lot better reading comprehension than you appear to have.

On the "Bush Energy Bill" of 2005, Congressman John Dingell, Congressman Sander Levin, Senator Carl Levin and Senator Debbie Stabenow voted for it as well. Check the congresssional record.

Does that mean these Michigan Dems are also in the pockets of "Big Oil?" Were they for the oil subsidies before they were against them?

Is it really more important to co-sponsor a bill now than to vote for it when it comes to the House floor?

Come on. Your vitriol towards Knollenberg is borderline nutso. Make your case against him. It's a democracy, but play straight with the facts.

Again, do you really have that much difficulty reading?

The title of this blog is "VOTE NO ON JOE (Knollenberg)". If I wanted to discuss others, I would have called the blog by another name.

This blog is about Joe Knollenberg.

This blog is about how Joe Knollenberg has failed as a Congresssman.

This blog is about how Joe Knollenberg has been negligent in his constitutional duties.

Clearly you are unable to defend Knollenberg so you are simply trying to change the subject to other people.

Sorry. That won't work here. Other than you, others visiting this site have the ability to read and comprehend.

Trent -- no one said he never voted -- he hasn't sponsored any legislation. And we all know that his vote to repeal the oil subsidies was a political vote. It's the first time he's ever voted against the oil companies and he only did it because Nancy hammered him on that issue during the campaign. He's afraid of getting beat again and figures this will get him more votes. The voters aren't stupid -- they can see right through that. He knew it was going to pass anyway, so he did the most politically smart thing.
