Up until the surge, Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people that we would "stand down when the Iraqi's stood up".
Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people that our troops were training the Iraqis.
Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people to "Stay the Course".
But unless you follow the war very closely, you wouldn't even know that the U.S. is not training Iraqi troops anymore. If we aren't training them, how will they ever stand up? The answer is, they won't.
But Joe Knollenberg continues to support the surge.
