Bush's War Czar Says Knollenberg Is Wrong on the Surge

Even Bush's War Czar, Lt. General Lute, knows the surge was a bad idea.

But Joe Knollenberg continues to support the surge.

Bush's War Czar said

I registered concerns that a military 'surge' would likely have only temporary and localized effects unless it were accompanied by counterpart 'surges' by the Iraqi government and the other, nonmilitary agencies of the U.S. government
Bush & Knollenberg Want to "Stay the Course"

Up until the surge, Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people that we would "stand down when the Iraqi's stood up".

Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people that our troops were training the Iraqis.

Bush and Knollenberg kept telling the American people to "Stay the Course".

But unless you follow the war very closely, you wouldn't even know that the U.S. is not training Iraqi troops anymore. If we aren't training them, how will they ever stand up? The answer is, they won't.
